JESUS SANCHEZ
In Jesus Sanchez’s world, the chef must be the friend and ally of the producers. It’s a firm belief that has grown out of a long and obsessive quest to source the absolute best produce. And though Sanchez and his restaurants win many awards, it’s his diners who reap the rewards of this obsession for quality.
Jesus Sanchez is a curious traveller and skilled communicator. Through his restaurant, which gained a Michelin star in 1991, and through his television and radio programs, writing and cooking school, the Spanish-born chef has introduced forgotten and little-known regional specialties to a grateful new audience. We thank him for introducing us to the exquisite produce of Cantabria, northern Spain.
